1. The association was jointly founded by the Nurses' Associations in Taiwan Province, Taipei City and Kaohsiung City in 1988 with the approval of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.

2. The founding meeting was held on March 3, 1989 for the election of the first term members of the Board of Directors and the Board of Controllers.

3. The association was registered with the Ministry of Interior Affairs on April 10, 1989.
